Everything was ok. Perhaps more options for the dinner (to keep the same menu at the piscine for the dinner at lunch and dinner if we want a lighter dinner).

Reunion Island is an outdoor playground with marked trails, perfect for pros like me. The resort offers authentic dining and a perfect base to explore the wild island. Families can have endless adventures on this volcanic paradise, including snorkeling in the protected lagoon.

Oh, and by the way, who needs generous cocktails, diverse TV channels, or fast internet? Definitely not me!

The rooms at Lux* Saint Gilles Resort are absolutely stunning. They have a cozy living room corner that makes you feel right at home. The patios offer a perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful view of the tropical gardens. As a laid-back guest, I couldn't ask for a more relaxing and comfortable retreat.

Some people might find the view of the lush tropical gardens from the patio a bit overwhelming. But hey, everyone has their own taste, right?

The resort had everything we needed for an amazing vacation with friends. We practiced yoga on our terrace facing the tropical gardens, the beach at sunset was the perfect backdrop for our evening runs, and we even played tennis on the floodlit courts under the stars. The activities were awesome, from exploring the island's nature and culture to trying out high-energy sports. And let's not forget the adrenaline rush of mountain biking through tamarind forests and sugar-cane fields. It was an unforgettable experience!

The only thing we wished for was a better nightlife scene for us young, party-going people. We had a blast during the day with all the activities, but it would have been even more awesome to have more options for late-night fun.

The hotel offers themed nights such as 'Creole' and 'Asian', which are enjoyable but a bit pricey at around €45 per person. The location is close to the beach and the overall ambiance is pleasant. The rooms are nicely decorated and some even offer sea views. The breakfast is delicious and there are various facilities available for guests to enjoy.

I absolutely loved the abundance of activities and amenities for nature lovers. From spotting turtles right in front of the hotel to having a private beach and large swimming pool, Lux* Saint Gilles Resort truly catered to my desire to be in direct touch with nature. The free sports facilities and snorkeling equipment were additional perks that added to the overall experience. The beautiful grounds and happy birds added a touch of serenity to the atmosphere. It was truly a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

Felt truly looked after, no reason to complain. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction during my stay.

The pathways were well-paved, allowing for easy navigation with a walking aid or wheelchair. This made me feel comfortable and at ease during my stay.

The only improvement I would suggest for a better vacation experience for fellow seniors is that the staff, particularly the younger team members, could benefit from more training on providing personalized assistance to older guests. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, there were instances where I felt that some of the children working there could have been more attentive and understanding of the unique needs that come with age.
